Framer Pricing in 2026: What a Site Actually Costs

12 min read

Framer pricing as of October 2026: Free, Basic at $10 and Pro at $30 a month billed yearly, plus editor seats, add-ons, worked bills and the rupee prices in India.

Renaissance-style painting of a printing workshop with a wooden press, type cases and a red inked sheet

A four-person marketing team on Framer Pro, with two extra editors, one content editor and one translation locale, pays $30 + $40 + $10 + $20 = $100 a month at yearly billing, by the Framer pricing page at framer.com/pricing as I read it on 25 October 2026. That is 3.3 times the $30 headline price of Pro, and the plan itself is under a third of the bill.

So the useful question about Framer’s prices is what your bill adds up to; the plan you pick is only its first line. The plan sets your limits; editor seats, languages and overage blocks set what you pay. And if you open the page from India, it prices every line in rupees, at well under the dollar price converted at market rates.

Framer Pricing Plans at a Glance

Framer sells four plans. The page defaults to yearly billing, so the headline prices below are monthly rates billed for a year at a time. The rupee column is what the page showed when I loaded it logged out from an Indian connection on 25 October 2026.

PlanPer month, yearly billingPagesCMS collections / itemsBandwidthAI credits
Free$01,000 (per Framer’s FAQ)10 collections1 GB500 to try
Basic$10 (₹361 from India)30, fixed2 / 1,00050 GB1,000 a month
Pro$30 (₹1,084 from India)150, then $20 per 100 (700 max)10 / 2,500, then $40 per 10 collections and $20 per 10,000 items100 GB, then $40 per 100 GB (2 TB max)3,000 a month

A few lines from the same page change how you read that table:

  • Free’s 1,000 pages and 10 collections are not a typo: Framer’s FAQ gives Free projects more room than Basic, and what Free withholds is the custom domain.
  • Monthly billing costs more. From India the toggle moves Basic to ₹540 and Pro to ₹1,625 a month. The page’s own script carries a dollar price list with $15 for Basic and $45 for Pro on monthly billing; from India the page renders rupees, so those two dollar figures come from that list rather than from the price on screen.
  • Yearly billing includes extras that monthly billing does not. The comparison table says “Complimentary domain included on yearly”, and the free custom domain and double credits in the first month grey out when you switch to monthly.
  • Basic limits are fixed. Only Pro can buy more pages, CMS collections, CMS items or bandwidth in blocks, so a Basic site that outgrows 30 pages moves to Pro.

Framer’s ladder is Free, Basic, Pro and Enterprise, and its FAQ says Basic “caters to students, freelancers, and small studios” while Pro is for teams at agencies, startups and scale-ups. If tier names interest you as a pricing decision, I compared what SaaS pricing tier names signal across 41 live pricing pages.

Is Framer Free?

Yes, Framer has a Free plan at $0, and Framer’s FAQ describes it as “ideal for non-commercial use”. The same FAQ pitches it for exploring Framer, using it as a design tool or making templates.

What the Free plan includes, per Framer’s pricing page and FAQ on 25 October 2026:

Free plan itemLimit
DomainFree Framer domain only; a custom domain needs a paid plan
Bandwidth1 GB
AI credits500 to try, when the workspace has no active subscription
CMS10 collections
Pages1,000
File uploads5 MB
LanguagesOne free locale to try
CollaborationUp to three editors in a workspace without a subscription
MCP ServerIncluded, free during the preview

That wording is a recommendation, not a ban; for a business site the practical limit is the domain, since connecting your own domain starts at Basic.

What a Framer Site Costs: Three Worked Bills

These are three common setups, priced line by line from framer.com/pricing on 25 October 2026. Every line is a published price; the totals are my addition. Dollars are the yearly-billing rates the page serves; rupees are what it showed from India for yearly and monthly billing.

Three Framer bills at yearly billing: a solo portfolio on Basic at $10 a month, a four-person marketing team on Pro at $100 a month, and a content-heavy blog on Pro at $90 a month, each with its rupee price from India
SetupLine itemsPer month, yearly billing₹ from India, yearly billing₹ from India, monthly billing
Solo portfolioBasic$10₹361₹540
Marketing team: owner, 2 editors, 1 content editor, a second languagePro $30 + 2 editors at $20 + 1 content editor at $10 + 1 locale at $20$100₹1,084 + ₹1,444 + ₹361 + ₹722 = ₹3,611₹1,625 + ₹2,170 + ₹540 + ₹905 = ₹5,240
Content-heavy blog: 350 pages, 12,500 CMS itemsPro $30 + 2 blocks of 100 pages at $20 + 1 block of 10,000 CMS items at $20$90₹1,084 + ₹1,444 + ₹722 = ₹3,250₹1,625 + ₹2,170 + ₹1,085 = ₹4,880

How the lines work, from the same page:

  • The workspace owner and viewers are free. Viewers can see and comment on pages and designs.
  • An additional editor can design, edit content and publish. A content editor can update the CMS, localisation and on-page text for half that price.
  • Basic and Pro allow up to 10 users with edit access; Enterprise is unlimited.
  • Framer’s FAQ says editors are billed per seat and that you are charged within 24 hours of an editor being added.
  • Translation locales cost $20 each on both Basic and Pro, up to 20 locales.
  • The blog row starts from Pro’s included 150 pages and 2,500 CMS items, so 200 extra pages and 10,000 extra items take it to 350 and 12,500.

Two Pro-only add-ons cost more than the plan itself: Convert (A/B testing, funnels and triggers) at $50 per 500,000 events, and Advanced hosting (multiple sites and custom headers under one domain) at $200 a month. For a year at yearly billing, multiply any monthly figure by 12: the marketing team above commits to $1,200.

How AI Credits Change Framer’s Price

Every paid plan includes monthly AI credits, which power Framer’s agents, AI localisation and other AI features. Basic includes 1,000 a month and Pro 3,000, and the pricing page lets you pick a bigger credit tier, which raises the plan price: Basic runs up to 15,000 credits a month and Pro up to 100,000.

I could read the tier prices only in rupees, from an Indian connection on 25 October 2026, at yearly billing. Every tier in both selectors:

Credits a monthBasic, ₹ per monthPro, ₹ per month
1,000₹361-
2,000₹1,318-
3,000₹2,275₹1,084
5,000₹4,189₹2,998
8,000₹7,061-
10,000₹8,975₹7,784
15,000₹13,761-
20,000-₹17,355
30,000-₹26,926
50,000-₹46,068
100,000-₹93,924

Each extra 1,000 credits added ₹957 a month at yearly billing on both plans, which is more than 2.6 times the whole Basic plan. So for anyone who needs more than about 1,000 credits a month, Pro’s included 3,000 is cheaper than Basic at 3,000 (₹1,084 against ₹2,275), before counting Pro’s extra limits.

How far a credit goes, from Framer’s June 2026 announcement: generating a landing page costs about 300 credits on the base model, a small edit about 50, and Framer puts Basic’s 1,000 credits at roughly five landing pages. The same post says AI tools you connect over MCP, such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex, run on your own Claude or OpenAI subscription and do not draw on Framer credits. If you design on the canvas and use AI for the odd edit, the base tier is enough; buy credit tiers only for agent-heavy months.

Framer Basic vs Pro: Which Plan Fits

Basic is for a site that will stay small; Pro is for a site with a team, a migration or a content plan. The differences from the comparison table on framer.com on 25 October 2026:

FeatureBasicPro
Price, yearly billing$10 a month$30 a month
Site pages30, fixed150, buy more to 700
CMS collections210, buy more to 40
CMS items1,0002,500, buy more to 40,000
Bandwidth50 GB100 GB, buy more to 2 TB
Hosting locations20300+
Analytics history30 days90 days
Site redirects, staging, branchingNoYes
Static filesNo50
Convert and Advanced hosting add-onsNoYes

My decision rules:

  1. Moving an existing site to Framer: take Pro, because the comparison table gives site redirects to Pro and not to Basic, and keeping old URLs alive is what protects your rankings.
  2. More than 30 pages now, or within a year: take Pro, since Basic cannot buy page blocks.
  3. A one-person portfolio, a link-in-bio site or a launch page: Basic is enough, and a student may get it free (see below).

A website builder is one line in a marketing budget. For the other lines, see this five-tool marketing stack and what it costs, which starts with the website.

Framer Pricing in India: What the Page Shows

I fetched framer.com/pricing logged out from an Indian connection on 25 October 2026 (Cloudflare’s trace reported loc=IN). The page rendered every price in rupees:

Line₹ per month, yearly billing₹ per month, monthly billing
Basic₹361₹540
Pro₹1,084₹1,625
Additional editor₹722₹1,085
Content editor₹361₹540
Translation locale₹722₹905
100 extra pages (Pro)₹722₹1,085
10,000 extra CMS items (Pro)₹722₹1,085
100 GB extra bandwidth (Pro)₹1,445₹1,805
Convert, per 500,000 events (Pro)₹1,806₹2,165
Advanced hosting (Pro)₹7,224₹9,030

Under the plans the page says: “Any applicable sales tax will be added at checkout based on your location.” I did not go to checkout, so I cannot tell you the tax line or the final charge.

The page’s raw HTML carries dollar prices and a script swaps in rupees for Indian visitors, so a crawler or summary tool that reads the raw HTML reports dollars, the same raw-HTML-versus-rendered gap that hides AI-built sites from Google.

My arithmetic on the gap, at 94.94 rupees per US dollar, derived from the European Central Bank’s euro reference rates for 23 October 2026, as published by Frankfurter:

  • $10 converts to about ₹949, so Basic’s ₹361 is about 38% of the dollar price at market rates (a year of Basic: ₹4,332 against $120). Pro’s ₹1,084 against $30 (about ₹2,848) and the team bill’s ₹3,611 against $100 (about ₹9,494) work out to the same 38%.

On payment, Framer’s FAQ says you can pay by credit card or, in some regions, PayPal; the page does not mention UPI.

Lovable works differently: when I checked on 10 October 2026, Lovable showed no rupee price on its web pricing, so Indian buyers there start from the dollar list. That post converted at RBI’s reference rate for 9 October 2026 rather than the rate above; either source gives the same picture.

Framer Student Plan

Framer’s student page offers “A free Basic plan worth $120”, which matches 12 months of Basic at $10. The terms on 25 October 2026:

  • Who qualifies: students enrolled in a certified in-person or online program, such as a high school, college or university.
  • How long: one year, and you can re-apply every 11 months for as long as you are a student.
  • What you send: name, school, school email, expected graduation date and a photo of your school ID showing your full name and the school logo.
  • Review time: Framer aims to review applications within 5 working days.
  • Who can redeem: for now only new customers can redeem the coupon codes, per the page’s FAQ.
  • Credits: the page advertises 1,000 free AI credits a month.
  • Use: the terms limit the code to your personal student website, portfolio, class projects and resume.

There is no educator discount yet; the page says Framer is working on one.

What Changed in Framer’s Pricing in 2026

Framer reworked its plans on 16 June 2026, alongside Framer 3.0, in the announcement post titled “AI credits, simpler plans, and lower prices”:

ChangeBeforeAfter
Paid plansBasic, Pro and ScaleBasic and Pro (Scale retired)
Editor seat$40$20
Basic CMS collections12
Basic bandwidth10 GB50 GB
AI usage-Credits on every plan

The post says existing paid site plans stay as they are unless the owner switches, but the lower editor price and the new Basic limits applied to everyone right away. The Free plan’s credit wording has also moved since June: the announcement described daily Free credits, while the pricing page now says “500 AI credits to try”. Any guide that still lists a Scale plan or $40 editors predates June 2026.

Price the Bill, Not the Plan

Framer pricing looks like a $10 or $30 decision, and for a solo portfolio it is. For a team, the plan is the smallest line: editors, languages and Pro’s page and CMS blocks decide the total, and credit tiers can outgrow everything else. Open the page from where you will pay and check the tax at checkout before you commit. Framer changes these prices, so treat every figure here as of 25 October 2026, re-read framer.com/pricing and add up plan plus seats plus locales plus blocks before you compare Framer with any other builder.
