Canva Pro Price in India: Pro Lite, Pro and Passes (2026)
Canva Pro price in India on 16 October 2026: Rs 500 a month or Rs 4,000 a year, Rs 69 for a day, plus Pro Lite, Business, UPI, GST and the cheapest route by job.
₹69 buys one day of Canva Pro in India, on a prepaid pass that Canva’s own pricing page listed on 16 October 2026 with the line “No auto-renewal. Top-up anytime.” As a subscription for one person, the Canva Pro price in India on the same page was ₹500 a month or ₹4,000 a year.
Plan names are a poor guide to the cheapest of those purchases: two week passes cost ₹398, less than one ₹500 month, and a week of Pro costs the same ₹199 as a month of Pro Lite. First count how many days in a row the job needs Pro, then check whether it needs something Pro Lite lacks, such as Pro’s larger AI allowance or the Social Content Planner, and pay for Business only when people need approvals or brand controls.
On 16 October 2026, Canva’s India pricing page listed Pro at ₹500 a month or ₹4,000 a year for one person, Pro Lite at ₹199 or ₹1,590 and Business at ₹680 or ₹6,800 per person, with Enterprise sold through Canva’s sales team.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | Priced for | What a marketer gets, per the pricing page |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | ₹0 | ₹0 | One person | 1 Brand Kit (3 colours only), 5GB of storage, up to 20 Standard or Premium AI uses a month |
| Pro Lite | ₹199 | ₹1,590 | One person | 3 Brand Kits, 50GB, premium templates and stock, resize and background removal (not at scale), the same 20 AI uses as Free, no Ultra AI |
| Pro | ₹500 | ₹4,000 | One person | 5 Brand Kits, 100GB, 10x Free’s AI (up to 200 Premium or 20 Ultra AI uses), Social Content Planner, AI Pass add-on at extra cost |
| Pro, 1-day pass | ₹69, paid once | None | One person | Pro’s premium features for a day, prepaid, no auto-renewal |
| Pro, 1-week pass | ₹199, paid once | None | One person | The same, for a week |
| Business | ₹680 | ₹6,800 | Per person | 100 Brand Kits and approvals, 500GB, 20x Free’s AI (up to 400 Premium or 40 Ultra AI uses), team admin tools, AI top-ups at extra cost |
| Enterprise | Through sales | Through sales | An organisation | SSO, SCIM and admin controls on top of Business; no free trial |
Prices as read logged out from an Indian connection on 16 October 2026 (IST). The AI figures are Canva’s own estimates, which its footnote says “assume simple tasks and lower-consumption AI tools within each tier”.
The page opens on Yearly; its Monthly toggle gave the monthly column, and its “Daily and weekly plan options” link opened the dialogue with the passes. I did not sign in, buy a plan or reach a checkout. Prices and AI allowances change, so read the page again on the day you pay.
Canva Pro Price in India by Job: The Cheapest Official Route
Each row applies the prices above to a common marketing job. The costs are my arithmetic on the pricing page’s figures, and every route is one Canva offers directly.
| Job | Official route | Cost | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| One design, finished in a day | Pro 1-day pass | ₹69 | One pass, no renewal |
| A job of 3 to 7 days in a row | Pro 1-week pass | ₹199 | Three day passes cost ₹207 |
| A two-week campaign | Two Pro 1-week passes | ₹398 | ₹102 less than a ₹500 month |
| Templates, brand kits and light AI, every month | Pro Lite, yearly | ₹1,590 a year | ₹798 less than 12 payments of ₹199 |
| AI-heavy work, or scheduling posts from Canva | Pro, yearly | ₹4,000 a year | ₹2,000 less than 12 payments of ₹500 |
| Three marketers, each in their own account | Three Pro accounts, yearly | ₹12,000 a year | 3 x ₹4,000 |
| Three marketers who need approvals and brand controls | Business for three, yearly | ₹20,400 a year | 3 x ₹6,800, or ₹8,400 more than three Pro accounts |
| A first look at a paid plan | Free trial | ₹0 | Once per Canva account and once per payment method |
| A nonprofit | Canva’s free nonprofit plan | ₹0 | One team of up to 50 users |
The rules behind those rows:
- From the third day inside one 7-day stretch, a week pass costs less than day passes: ₹199 against 3 x ₹69 = ₹207.
- For days in a row, passes cost less than the ₹500 monthly plan up to 15 days, where two week passes and a day pass come to ₹467. At 16 days they cost ₹536, and the monthly plan is lower.
- For days scattered across a month, price each 7-day stretch: ₹199 if it holds 3 or more of your days, ₹69 a day if it holds fewer. When no stretch holds 3 of your days, the monthly plan costs less from the eighth day: seven 1-day passes come to ₹483 and eight to ₹552.
- Passes do not renew. A subscription does: Canva’s upgrade help article says “Your plan will auto-renew unless you cancel.”
- The same article says a free trial runs on “the same size allowance as Canva Free” for AI, with the plan’s full allowance arriving when you pay, so a trial is a poor test of AI-heavy work.
- Neither that article nor the pricing page states how long the trial lasts. The article says the end date shows under Settings > Billing & Teams, and a trial started without payment details ends on its own with no charge.
- If your Canva account and card have never had a free trial, the trial costs ₹0 for a short job that fits Free’s AI allowance; the passes are the cheapest route once it is used.
If the job fits Canva Free (1 Brand Kit, 5GB and up to 20 AI uses a month), it costs ₹0: Canva’s free tier is one of the entries in my list of free AI tools for marketing, and my five-tool marketing stack answers the design objection with it.
Canva Subscription Price: Monthly vs Yearly by Plan
Yearly billing saves a third on Pro Lite and Pro and a sixth on Business, by my arithmetic on the page’s prices. The toggle’s “Save from 16%” badge covers the smallest saving, Business at 16.7%, and Pro and Pro Lite save about twice that.
| Plan | 12 monthly payments | Yearly price | Yearly saves | Yearly costs less once you would pay for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pro Lite | 12 x ₹199 = ₹2,388 | ₹1,590 | ₹798 (33.4%) | 8 months (8 x ₹199 = ₹1,592) |
| Pro | 12 x ₹500 = ₹6,000 | ₹4,000 | ₹2,000 (33.3%) | 9 months; 8 months cost the same ₹4,000 |
| Business, per person | 12 x ₹680 = ₹8,160 | ₹6,800 | ₹1,360 (16.7%) | 11 months; 10 months cost the same ₹6,800 |
Canva’s billing frequency article says you can move between monthly and yearly plans in the Billing section of Settings, and that “All plans renew automatically”. If you are not sure you will keep a plan past the month in the last column, start on monthly billing.
Canva Pro Lite vs Canva Pro
The Canva Pro Lite price in India is ₹199 a month, ₹301 less than Pro’s ₹500, and the comparison table on the pricing page puts most of the difference in AI and bulk work.
| On the pricing page | Pro Lite | Pro |
|---|---|---|
| Price | ₹199 a month or ₹1,590 a year | ₹500 a month or ₹4,000 a year |
| Monthly AI allowance | Up to 20 Standard or Premium AI uses, as on Free | Up to 200 Premium AI uses or 20 Ultra AI uses |
| Standard AI tools | Draw on the 20-use allowance | Do not count toward the allowance (fair use limits may apply) |
| Ultra AI, such as conversational design and video clips | Not included | Included |
| Brand Kits and storage | 3 Brand Kits, 50GB | 5 Brand Kits, 100GB |
| Magic Resize and Photo Background Remover | Included, but not at scale | Included, at scale too |
| Translate, Magic Edit, Magic Expand, Magic Animate | Not included | Included |
| Social Content Planner | Not included | Included |
| Bulk design creation, Premium Apps, Connectors in Canva AI | Not included | Included |
| AI Pass add-on | Not listed | Available at extra cost |
Both plans carry the same 3.6M+ templates including premium ones, 141M+ premium photos, videos, graphics and audio, CMYK print export, Magic Eraser and Magic Grab. AI Pass is a monthly add-on that Canva sells on top of Pro or Business, and its page showed no rupee price to a logged-out visitor on 16 October 2026.
Pro Lite fits a marketer who edits premium templates inside a brand kit and uses AI a few times a month. Pro fits one who translates or resizes in bulk, schedules social posts from Canva or works with Ultra AI.
Canva Pro Day and Week Passes
Canva sells Pro, and no other plan, as a one-day or one-week prepaid pass in India: ₹69 and ₹199. The pricing page’s FAQ sets the terms:
- What you get: “With this option, you can make a single upfront payment to access Canva Pro’s premium features.”
- Renewal: “There are no auto-renewals, so you aren’t charged automatically after the prepaid period ends.”
- Extending: you can “top-up during the one-day or one-week prepaid plan or re-purchase once the plan ends”.
- Plans covered: “The one-time payment option is available for accessing Canva Pro only.” Business has no pass.
- AI: the FAQ gives no AI figure for a pass, but Canva’s AI Pass page says that on a daily or weekly plan “your monthly AI allowance will be pro-rated”, so a pass carries only a share of Pro’s monthly allowance. Check your balance in Canva before you plan AI-heavy work around one.
Canva’s pages differ on paying for a pass with UPI. The pricing page’s FAQ on why the one-time option may not appear lists five methods (credit or debit card, PayPal, GoPay in Indonesia, GCash in the Philippines and PIX in Brazil), and UPI is not one of them. Canva’s UPI help article says UPI “is only available for one-time payments, such as licences, prints, prepaid credits, or short-duration plans”. Keep a card ready in case the pass checkout does not offer UPI.
Canva Pro Price in India on the App Store and Google Play
Apple’s India App Store lists Canva Pro at the web’s ₹500 a month and ₹4,000 a year, beside items with the same names at ₹499 and ₹3,999, while Google Play India shows one price range for all of Canva’s in-app items.
| What you buy | canva.com, logged out from India | Apple App Store, India | Google Play, India |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pro, monthly | ₹500 | ₹500, ₹499 and ₹500, three items named Canva Pro - Monthly | Not listed per item |
| Pro, yearly | ₹4,000 | ₹4,000, ₹3,999 and ₹4,000, three items named Canva Pro - Yearly | Not listed per item |
| Business, monthly | ₹680 per person | ₹679 and ₹650 | Not listed per item |
| Business, yearly | ₹6,800 per person | ₹6,800 | Not listed per item; the range tops out at ₹6,800.00, the same figure, but Google does not name the item |
| Pro Lite | ₹199 or ₹1,590 | Not among the ten items shown | Not listed per item |
| Pro passes | ₹69 or ₹199 | Not among the ten items shown | Not listed per item |
| Other in-app items | Not applicable | Canva Credit, ₹199 | The range starts at ₹18.00 |
| Tax in the price | Included outside the US and Canada, per Canva’s tax help | Included outside the US and Canada, per Apple | ”All prices include GST.” |
Apple’s column is the In-App Purchases list on Canva’s India App Store listing, at app version 4.231.0, and Google’s is the in-app purchases line on Canva’s Google Play India listing, which reads ₹18.00 - ₹6,800.00 per item. I read both logged out from India on 16 October 2026.
- Apple’s list shows ten items and does not say it is complete, so an item missing from it is not proof the app lacks it.
- Apple’s listing does not explain why two prices share one item name. The price on the screen where you confirm the purchase is the one you pay.
- In the app, Canva’s upgrade help says “An App Store or Google Play dialogue will appear” to complete the subscription, and it lists “APPLE*Canva” and “GOOGLE*Canva” among the names a charge can carry on a statement.
- For a team, the same article warns: “To add more members in Canva Business, you may need to cancel your Apple or Google subscription and upgrade through the web or mobile browser.”
- Canva’s pricing FAQ offers AI Pass and AI top-ups to users “who subscribe online”.
- Apple’s tax rule is from its 2023 tech talk on App Store pricing: “Prices advertised to customers in all countries except the U.S. and Canada include taxes”.
Canva prints rupees on its own pricing page; for Claude and Lovable, the vendors’ own pages showed dollars and the rupee prices sat on app store listings, as my Claude Pro price check by checkout and Lovable price check for India record.
What Happened to Canva Teams?
Canva Teams is closed to new buyers. The pricing page’s FAQ says “Canva Teams is no longer available for new sign-ups or upgrades. If you’re already on Canva Teams, you’ll remain on your current plan unless you switch or cancel”, and adds that new paid features exclusive to Business “won’t be included in Canva Teams”.
Business is the team plan now, priced per person at ₹680 a month or ₹6,800 a year, and Canva’s upgrade help says “Creating a team requires a Canva Business plan”. The pricing FAQ says you pay only for members who accept your invitation, but Canva’s Business billing article describes a second model, billing by seats, where “Seats are billed in the next billing cycle, even if an invite hasn’t been accepted yet.” Settings > People shows which model your team is on.
| Three marketers for a year | Yearly billing | Monthly billing | Per the pricing page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Three Pro accounts | 3 x ₹4,000 = ₹12,000 | 3 x ₹500 x 12 = ₹18,000 | One person per account; real-time collaboration, comments and link sharing are on every plan |
| Business for three | 3 x ₹6,800 = ₹20,400 | 3 x ₹680 x 12 = ₹24,480 | Adds inviting team members, roles, approvals, Brand Controls, team-only links and pay-as-you-grow billing |
On yearly billing, Business costs ₹8,400 more for three people, 70% above three Pro accounts. I would pay it when approvals or brand controls matter, and skip it when three people only need to share and comment on designs.
Is Canva Pro Free for Students in India?
Canva’s own free routes for students run only through a school or university: its free education plan covers school students, and a university student gets premium access through Canva only if the university has bought Canva Campus. A Jio recharge bundle reported in September 2026 has its own section below.
- Canva Education is free, and Canva’s eligibility guidelines say it is “currently available for K-12 (primary or secondary) teachers and institutions” and “not currently available for higher education teachers and institutions (colleges and universities)”.
- A school student joins through a teacher. The pricing page’s FAQ says “your teacher needs to invite you to join Canva Education.”
- Canva Campus is bought by the institution. The FAQ says it “is based on Canva Enterprise pricing”, that institutions must buy a minimum number of staff licences, and that “all students at the university receive premium Canva access at no additional cost” once that threshold is met.
- Other students get the standard plans. In the FAQ’s words: “If you’re a student at a Canva Campus institution, you can simply log-in with your university email, however if not you can still access Canva Free or Pro at log-in.”
- The Education tab lists three offers, Teachers, Schools and Districts, and Campus, and none of them is a discounted plan a student buys alone.
Can You Pay for Canva With UPI?
Yes: Canva’s help centre lists UPI for one-time payments in India and UPI Autopay for recurring Pro and Pro Lite subscriptions.
| Method | What Canva’s help says |
|---|---|
| UPI | ”only available for one-time payments, such as licences, prints, prepaid credits, or short-duration plans”; on desktop you scan a QR code and approve the payment in your UPI app |
| UPI Autopay | For “Canva Pro or Canva Pro Lite only”; “UPI Autopay isn’t available on Canva Business plan”; “UPI Autopay only supports payments up to 15,000 INR” |
| Cards and PayPal | The pricing FAQ: “We accept Paypal and credit cards by major providers such as Visa, Mastercard, and American Express” |
From the UPI Autopay article: you approve a mandate in your UPI app, “Your bank or UPI app will send you a notification before each recurring charge”, and you cancel the mandate from your UPI app or your bank’s settings. Every Pro and Pro Lite price above sits under the ₹15,000 limit. Canva’s supported payment options page lists “UPI and UPI Autopay (India)” beside cards, PayPal and Google Pay.
Does Canva’s Price in India Include GST?
Yes, by Canva’s tax help: its general sales tax article says that outside the United States and Canada, “Canva’s advertised price includes sales tax”. The pricing page’s plan cards carry no tax wording of their own.
For a business in India, Canva’s sales tax by country article has two sentences on India:
- Print orders carry GST for every buyer: “Canva is required to charge GST on any supplies of printed products, including for business customers.”
- Subscriptions can be invoiced without it: “if you’re a business customer and purchase a subscription, there will be no GST on your invoice if you provide a valid GSTIN at the time of purchase.”
- Neither sentence says whether the amount you are charged changes when GST comes off the invoice.
Canva’s tax-exempt invoice article adds that exemption requests “can only be submitted via the Canva website” and not in the mobile app, and that an exemption applies only to invoices issued after you submit your details. Canva says it “can’t offer tax advice”, so take the GSTIN question to your accountant.
The Jio Canva Pro Offer
A Jio prepaid recharge may include a year of Canva, according to press reports from 16 September 2026. t2ONLINE and Beebom reported that day that Reliance Jio and Canva had announced a bundle:
- Canva Pro for 12 months with Jio’s ₹399 prepaid plan
- Canva Pro Lite for 12 months with the ₹349 plan and with eligible 2GB/day plans priced above ₹349
- Claimed in the MyJio app and live from 16 September 2026
- A value t2ONLINE gives as “worth up to ₹4,000”, which matches Canva’s yearly Pro price
I could not confirm the offer on a Jio or Canva page on 16 October 2026: jio.com/canva returned Jio’s page-not-found page, and Canva’s newsroom index had no Jio story. Check the MyJio app before you recharge for it.
Canva Prices Online That Do Not Match Canva’s Page
Some India price pages print figures that differ from what Canva’s pricing page showed.
| Figure you may see | Where it appears | canva.com on 16 October 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Pro at ₹799 a month and ₹6,999 a year | PS Tech Global’s price guide, dated 26 April 2025 | ₹500 a month, ₹4,000 a year |
| ”Canva Pro for Teams: ₹999 per user per month for the first 5 people” | The same guide | Teams closed to new sign-ups; Business at ₹680 a month per person |
| Prices “exclusive of 18% GST, which will be added at checkout” | The same guide | Canva’s tax help: outside the US and Canada, the advertised price includes sales tax |
| Pro at about ₹499 a month and ₹6,000 to ₹7,000 a year | A reseller’s article dated 13 February 2026 | ₹500 a month, ₹4,000 a year |
| A “Canva Pro Lifetime” product | The same reseller’s shop | No lifetime plan on the pricing page |
| ₹4,500 a year “on the official plan” | A key reseller’s guide dated 21 April 2026, whose own table lists ₹3,999 a year | ₹4,000 a year |
₹499 and ₹3,999 also appear on Apple’s India listing, as prices for items named Canva Pro - Monthly and Canva Pro - Yearly.
Canva Pro Price in India: Count the Days, Then the Seats
Passes beat the monthly plan for up to 15 days of Pro in a row, Pro Lite is enough when a job needs none of Pro’s extras, such as its larger AI allowance or the Social Content Planner, and Business is worth its extra ₹8,400 a year for three people only when they need approvals or brand controls.
Before you pay, open Canva’s India pricing page and check the monthly prices and the daily and weekly options, because they change. Then price your job in days.
